Mothers Day Happiness

Happy Mothers Day, Y'all!

This past week I had the privilege to be in St. George for my Sister-in-laws college graduation with my whole family. I feel very fortunate to be able to be the youngest of 4 kids, and have so many wonderful examples before me. Since Mothers day was coming up, I got to thinking a lot about how they're all mothers, and how one day I will be a mom. As I was pondering this thought, I came to the realization that I have HUGE shoes to fill.  The mothers in  my family are some of the most amazing, patient, loving women I know, and I am so grateful for the sacrifices they make, and the example they are to me.

Mom: Thank you for you. You have always supported me through everything I've wanted to do, and that means a lot to me. Through the years, I have grown to love good things; The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the family, hard work, sticking with something when times are hard, and trying my best to be a good person to all people. These are things I couldn't have learned and developed without your example, love and support. I love our talks, laughs, and how much you understand and know me. I hope you realize that you mean so much to me. I love you and will always cherish our friendship
Love always, Heather

Just a classic Sunday, gratitude post :)

Today, I am grateful for my family!
On Saturday March 2nd, I got to see my brother, my sister (his wife), and my niece. The time we spend together was so great! It got me thinkin... As I have looked through past events in my life, I have noticed that the best ones were the ones when I was kickin it with my family. I have been so fortunate to be able to grow up in a house where friendship and love was present. My parents are the best examples of love, and are such a rock solid couple. We have had our struggles as a family, but I am so grateful to my parents for bringing the Gospel into my family's life. It has helped us with the trials we've had to face, and the difficult times we've been through. How fortunate I feel to be a part of such a great family.

Mom & Dad
My glorious parents. My dad is the hardest working man I know. I am grateful for him because he's showed me the meanings of true dedication, and love. He never gives up on anything that is important to him. My mom is the best example of how a mother should be. I have never felt so much love from anyone else. She is truly an amazing, and hard working woman. My best friend (which is a hard role to play sometimes haha.. thank goodness she's not playing! :) ).

Holly & Jayden
Holly is so smart and always helping me with my school stuff. She is one of the most academicly smartest people around. She will be very successful in her career one day. JAYDEN! The funniest guy. Reminds me of what it feels like to be careless, and always wanting to have fun

Sean, Krista, & Pres
Sean, Krista, and my sweet niece Preslei. Grateful for them because they show me the happiness that comes from being parents. They show the greatest amount of patience, and love not only to Preslei, but everyone around them. They are wonderful, and always so genuine. Preslei :) such a happydriven, and smart girl. She is always putting a smile on my face! I love her!

Josh, Crystal & Gage
Crystal, and Josh.. Two hilariousfunlovingeasy to get along withpatient, and diligent people. We are always having a good time. Gage is the newest member to the family! Full of smiles, and straight out of Heaven. I think it's safe to say that he excites me for motherhood! haha

HELLO! :)  A few days ago, I honestly cannot remember how, but Chelsi Petersen came into my mind. I got on Facebook to see if there was still a "Remembering Chelsi Dawn Petersen" page, and boom! There it was. So, I got into her pictures, and came across this Video. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=142679076202&set=o.14648463077&type=3&theater . The feelings of inspiration nailed me like a ton of bricks. I don't think I've ever felt more inspired to be a better person. It amazes me how someone so young was received by the Lord, and has left such a lasting/inspiring impact on so many peoples lives, including my own. She must have truly been one of the greatest. It's been almost 5 years since Chelsi passed away, however, she's blessed my life in ways that I am truly grateful for.. I'm sad that I never got to meet her on this earth but I'm grateful that I at least got to meet and get to know her wonderful family, and be a part of the hearts she helped soften. I can't wait to thank her one day for her amazing example. May we all strive to be the kind of people who bless lives for years to come. #SOgratefulforherexample.<3
